Black & White Affair
The KLM Scholarship Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Black & White Affair Charity Benefit Saturday, April 3rd at The Children's Museum of Richmond. Shelby Brown (Anchor/Reporter CBS 6) served as the event MC, Richmond's own DJ Drake provided the music, while experienced dealers ran Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Texas Hold 'Em games. Attendees wore black & white party attire and enjoyed risk-free gaming, dancing, delicious hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, raffles and more! Proceeds from the event will fund book scholarships for students attending Virginia colleges and universities.

Achievers of Excellence 8K Scholarship Program
The KLM Scholarship Foundation partnered with Radio One (99.3/105.7 KISS FM) and Excel Wireless, an authorized nTelos retailer, to present the 2008-2009 Achievers of Excellence Scholarship Program. The program was initiated to honor the talents and achievements of high school seniors who have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities. A banquet was held at Lucille's Restaurant where four (4) students were awarded $2,000.00 scholarships and six (6) students were awarded $200.00 scholarships.
