The United Way workplace campaign has been called one of the greatest social inventions in American history. Why? Because it unites employees in all offices or branches of a company, and gives them an opportunity to donate,voluteer and even speak out for causes that tap into their passion.


CVC Workplace Campaign

The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is the tool that facilitates State Employee workplace giving. It is a voluntary employee charitable giving program, which raises funds for numerous nonprofit health and humanitarian organizations throughout the state of Virginia.

$100K Scholarship Milestone

RICHMOND, VA – August 4, 2014 - The 2014-2015 Scholar Awards Ceremony, for the KLM Scholarship Foundation, was held at Linwood Holton Elementary School.

Book Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • High school senior with acceptance to a 4-year Virginia college or full-time student at a 4-year Virginia college
  • Between the ages of 17-22
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Must be a United States citizen or hold a permanent resident visa

2015-2016 Memorial Scholarships

In honor of Deneattre "Dee" Shelton's legacy, Saleem Aboite (James Madison University) was awarded a $1,500.00 book scholarship.

In honor of Pamela L. Jones' legacy, Deonesha Williams (Virginia State University) was awarded a $1,000.00 book scholarship.

In honor of Brittney L. Whitehead's legacy, the following students were awarded book scholarships:

Vanessa Adkins (College of William and Mary) – $1,200
Leah Jones (College of William and Mary) - $1,500
Anthony Lofton Jr (George Mason University) - $1,200
Ashleigh Salmon (Old Dominion University) - $1,200
Caylin Stewart (Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University) - $1,500
Chelsea Thomas (James Madison University) - $1,200
