6th Annual Black & White Affair Charity Benefit
RICHMOND, April 5, 2014 - The KLM Scholarship Foundation will host its 6th Annual Black & White Affair Charity Benefit from 8:00 pm – 12:00 am. This amazing, charitable event will be held at The Children's Museum of Richmond
UPS Grant Awarded
RICHMOND, VA – May 19, 2014 – The KLM Scholarship Foundation received a $5,000.00 grant from The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS (NYSE:UPS). The grant will be used to fund the organization's 2014-2015 Book Scholarship Program.

Book Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- High school senior with acceptance to a 4-year Virginia college or full-time student at a 4-year Virginia college
- Between the ages of 17-22
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must be a United States citizen or hold a permanent resident visa

2014-2015 Memorial Scholarships
In honor of Deneattre "Dee" Shelton's legacy, Kareema Smith (George Mason
University) was awarded a $1,500.00 book scholarship.
In honor of Pamela L. Jones' legacy, Maya & Michelle Sanders (Virginia State University)
were awarded $1,150.00 in book scholarships.
Brittney Laine Whitehead, 21, of Charles City, VA, was touched by an angel and went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013. Brittney was a 2009 graduate of Maggie Walker High School and was a softball standout. She was selected All District with a batting average of 400. She was a 2012 graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.A. in Psychology and was pursuing her master's degree in Child Psychology, also at ODU. Brittney was a three-time recipient of the KLM Scholarship.
In honor of Brittney's legacy, Mercedes Hanks (James Madison University), Chelsea Thomas (James Madison University) and Sumintra Parker (Hampton University) received book scholarships for the 2014-2015 school year. A total of $4,500 was awarded.
